My name is Lara d’Entremont. I help female theologians make their knowledge practical with heart change discipleship.
I am a child of God, a wife, and Biblical Counsellor in training. As someone who has been made anew by God and completely transformed by Him, I want to point you back to that same Gracious Saviour.

Going to a biblical counselling and being mentored has been one of the most edifying experiences in my faith. Now I am honoured that I get to do that for women like you! Find Out More…
As an online student and “housewife theologian”, most of my days were spent behind a book or computer screen accumulating more and more knowledge and theology. I filled my loneliness with facts.
My theology on its own didn’t do a thing for me. I could tell you about God’s sovereignty, yet my life was filled with constant anxiety. I could recite the definitions of atonement and justification, but I was depressed over sin and fearful that God didn’t love me. I could write an essay on the biblical basis of election and perseverance of the saints, but I doubted my salvation. To top it all off, I was lonely and miserable.
Though I had theology, I did not have joy.
Can you relate?
The problem is not with studying theology. The problem was me. The problem was that my theology was only confessional, not functional. Not only that, I had become selfish and prideful in my pursuit of knowledge.
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 ESV
I was a noisy gong. I was nothing because my knowledge was without love. “Knowledge makes arrogant, but love edifies” (1 Corinthians 8:1 NASB). I was pride-filled theologian using my knowledge selfishly.
From there Renewed In Truth was created. Renewed In Truth became the place for me to take the knowledge I was learning and give it away to others. It began in 2016 as a passion to teach women the Word and how to study it properly, but since then God has given me a new burden—to go beyond facts and information and instead reach not just the heads but the hearts of hurting women.
I see so many ladies who struggle and flounder in the middle of their struggles as I did, and they turn not to God and sufficiency of His Word, but to worldly ways of solving their issues. I see so many of us women with a head crammed with knowledge of theology and memorized Bible verses, yet we can never seem to apply it to our lives. I want to change that.
So if you came here today seeking to simply further your knowledge without dealing with your heart, then you are in the wrong place. However, if you are tired of accumulating facts about theology and the Bible and being unable to apply it to your heart, then I definitely hope you stay for a while.
With these new desires, God led me to pursue Biblical Counselling Certification through ACBC. Biblical Counselling encompasses all of what God had been teaching in my heart—taking the Bible and applying it people’s lives, not just gathering up knowledge up knowledge.
Being a Biblical Counsellor in training, I love to write about applying God’s Word to counselling issues such as anxiety, depression, people-pleasing, grief, dating, marriage, and pride. And because I know how important God’s Word is to change, I also passionately write about the discipline of studying the Bible.
What about you, friend? Are you stuck? Tired of not knowing how to apply all that knowledge to your heart? Ready for true and lasting change in your life? If that’s you, I’d love for you to join me on this journey of glorifying God and living out the gospel in our lives.
In love and grace,
